We made this project to help hosts identify the most practical ways on how they can improve their Airbnb listings. We have generated a success score for each listing based on criteria that we believe is related to success on the platform based on our research. The success score formula we came up with is a normalized value of ⅓ estimated revenue + ⅓ review rating + ⅓ number of reviews.
Sources and Credits:
We got this Airbnb data from Inside Airbnb. And we computed sentiment analysis on different text portions of the visualization using VADER. These data are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. This means that the data are publicly available and can be shared and/or adapted (even for commercial use), provided that credit is given and a link to the licensing information is available.
